Three-dimensional Integrated Teaching Environment and Demonstration Application

In July 2017, the State Council introduced the New Generation Artificial Intelligence Development Plan, which for the first time at the national level presented the idea of a “three-dimensional integrated teaching environment.” As technologies like virtual reality, big data, blockchain, and artificial intelligence continue to develop, a major challenge in the metaverse era is how to use these tools effectively to enrich education. This includes creating immersive learning spaces, designing personalized teaching scenarios and resources, and building intelligent systems for learning assessment.

The three-dimensional integrated teaching environment is a new kind of intelligent learning space powered by digital technology. It enables the creation of contextualized, personalized, and virtual learning settings that offer immersive, hands-on, and interactive experiences. This model helps improve teaching and learning processes, supports efforts to enhance educational fairness and quality, and contributes to the broader goal of building a “smart society.” It includes intelligent 3D teaching systems for classrooms as well as smart platforms for teacher professional development.
